Day #12 - A new day. A new dawn. New mercies we receive. Meditating on Proverbs 12 brought me back to the days when offense ruled my heart. To be corrected was always taken offensive and made me curled into myself. Here is Proverbs 12:1 we see that #LeaningInto #RelyingOn #ConsultingWith God allows us to deal with criticism better. Know that God uses people in many different ways and by using this individual‘s words can reveal the deficits in our character that needs work. I see correction today as an opportunity for growth and not one of shame or offense. Many of us assume our opinions are right but Verse 15 shows us that if we observe the ones that are wise they are constantly seeking ”godly“ advice and recognizes that they don’t know everything. And here in Verse 25 it reminds us to be encouragers. The world can be very wicked in diminishing ones heart and so at all cost we should ENCOURAGE THE PERSON NEXT TO US for we are often times unaware of their inner battles and struggles. In Colossians 3:16 it stays “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. “ Be encouraged always for #OnlyGodCanDoIt “Will follow up with day 13 a little later.

Thank you sis. What you wrote reminded me of the days I also took offense to correction. I was always on the defense and assumed people meant me harm. Glory to God for our deliverance.
