This morning I heard the LORD say "May Momentum" I don't believe that this move of God is
limited only to the month of May, but this is the beginning of something NEW.
So many are feeling the pressures of life and are in the valley of decisions. People have lost jobs, family members, friends, businesses and even religious leaders, just to name a few and in their secret place many are feeling discouraged. The feelings of hopelessness, fear, unbelief and unrest has created an atmosphere of despair. The cries of so many have been a resounding "Lord when, When will my relief come?" There has been a spirit of desperation gripping the people of God as they have been laboring in prayer and seeking the Lord for answers. In the book of Exodus God speaks to Moses and said "I surely have seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows; So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey (Exodus 3:7-8). It's time for us to take comfort in the LORD
The winds of change are blowing in our direction to produce deliverance and restoration for us. I believe that the Lord has released the winds of Heaven to begin to create momentum and movement in our lives. We are getting ready to experience the power of The I AM.
The hand of the Lord was upon the prophet Ezekiel and he was was carried in the spirit to the valley of dry bones and God asked him a question, "can these dry bones live?"
Ezekiel responded "LORD you know". Like many of us, we are looking at life circumstances without answers and like Ezekiel we are responding "Lord, you know". Take a look at God's response to Ezekiel concerning the problem at hand "Then said he unto me Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live." (Ezekiel 37:9). Did you catch that? He said "Open your mouth and speak what you want to see"
The word of Lord to many in this season is "Prophesy to the winds" open your mouth and create momentum and movement to the dry and dead places in our lives.
What is momentum?
Momentum is driving power, force, or speed of movement. It is an impelling force or strength. Momentum is multiplied by velocity.
What is Movement?
A change of place or position or posture. Physical motion between points and space
The wind of God is blowing in your direction and it's creating a powerful force of movement in our lives. Everything that God created, He created it to move, to increase, to be fruitful, to multiply, and this is the hour that God is breathing again with great force by His Spirit to accomplish His will. We will do more with little effort because the grace of acceleration is upon us. Take courage change is upon us!
This is the time for us to Pursue, Overtake and Recover. I was reminded of a verse in the book of Amos.
"Behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the plowman shall overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed; the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. (Amos 9:13)
Are you excited yet? Upon further study of this particular verse I found some interesting commentary to help us broaden our scope on what God is saying to us concerning the time and season we are in.
When the plowman shall overtake the reaper: Amos described how miraculous and amazing God’s blessing and restoration would be.
i. When God releases blessing and restoration, fruit comes quickly. “Ploughman and reaper laboured separately… but here they bump into each other, so abundant are the crops and so eager is the land to grow more” (Hubbard).
ii. When God releases blessing and restoration, fruit comes from unexpected places. Normally, grapevines don’t grow well on mountains or high hills, but in the days of Israel’s restoration even the mountains shall drip with sweet wine and all the hills shall flow with it.
iii. When God releases blessing and restoration, fruit comes with great quality (drip with sweet wine).
iv. When God releases blessing and restoration, the work is blessed – but it is still work. The plowman, the reaper, the treader of grapes, and him who sows seed still have their work to do. God doesn’t just do it all for them, but under God’s blessing and restoration the work is done with energy and joy. The plowman doesn’t just wait around, he gets busy even if he starts bumping into the reaper! “One sign of a true revival, and indeed an essential part of it is the increased activity of God’s laborers” (Spurgeon).
As I read the commentary, my heart was stirred even the more. I couldn't contain myself, all I could do is give God praise. You see, as a mom I try my best to assist my children whenever the need help. There are time when I know my children need help but I don't alway have the means to do so. But God our Father is rich in both Power and Glory. He knows what we need and when we need it, but most importantly He is able to supply WHATEVER we need at this time.
This is a time to rejoice in the Lord. Change is here, relief is here, restoration and provision is here, healing is here, movement here, acceleration is here and it is going to happen so quickly it will make our heads spin.
