Welcome to 52 Days of Favor!
I know it's been a while since I have posted but I need to take a break and refill my cup. When you're constantly pouring it's really important to know when to step away and replenish oneself. As I was leading corporate prayer yesterday the Holy Spirit led me to pray for favor. As I continued to pray the way I was being led I was quickly reminded that God established the works of Nehemiah's hands to complete the wall in 52 days. It was at that moment I felt the Lord impressing upon my heart to challenge the faith of the people by declaring 52 days of Favor.
I shared with our congregation what I believe is on the heart of God for us at this time. I believe that in the midst of all of the chaos in the world God wants to favor us, the righteous.
Daily I will share a scripture verse on favor and share whatever the Lord puts on my heart for us all.
"For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. (Psalm 5:12)
As I did a word study for a greater understanding of the text, I realized that God's Favor is protection or defense if you will for us. Favor is more than just stuff or the ability to skip the line. Favor is a defensive weapon of warfare for the Righteous.
It’s important to understand that blessings, that God’s favor, aren’t the shallow, superficial understanding many of us have of prosperity — things like money in the bank and a great marriage or career. True blessings are eternal, often far deeper than anything we can imagine.
What does this Verse mean?
This verse asks the Lord to wrap his divine, perfect, protective, and supernatural power around David like a mighty shield, a cloak so immense that nothing awful can get through. Here, the blessing is not money or power but the Lord’s favor a true blessing. He’s affirming that those who walk with God and strive wholeheartedly to follow God’s will and ways are considered “righteous,” and God’s favor is upon them and protects them. It’s a statement of faith, affirming and acknowledging that this is what God does, and he plans to continue walking with God and, because of this, receive that favor.
The original Hebrew for the word “bless” is barak, meaning abundant favor and divine blessing that comes from the Lord alone. The Hebrew for “righteous” is Sadiq, meaning just and by the standard or ways of the Lord. The original Hebrew translated as “shield” is sinna — a mighty shield, not the tiny shield referred to in Psalm 3:3. This shield is like a wall between a person and their enemy, entirely blocking the force of their threat.
David affirms here that those who walk with the Lord are in God’s favor, and God provides his complete protection on all sides.

Today's Confession:
I am the righteousness of God therefore I am blessed and fully protected by the LORD favor which surrounds me daily.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for a new day filled with grace and mercy. Help me to accept that I am the "righteous" not because of my perfection but because of the completed work of Cross. Thank you for blessing me and surrounding me with Favor in Jesus' name. Amen!
Decree:
I decree and declare that my family and I will experience the manifestation of God's Favor in our lives like never before over the next 52 days in Jesus' name.
I decree and declare the LORD will bless me because I am righteous and His favor will be a shield and a crown on my head in Jesus' name.
I believe it. I received it. I will see it come to pass in Jesus' name. Amen!
