Lean Into God 2021

Praise the Lord.

As I meditated on Day 6's reading, verses 6-11 resonated with me.

6 Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, 7 Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, 8 Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest. 9 How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? 10 A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep— 11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man.

The Lord is so merciful and loving in His giving of knowledge and wisdom. These verses immediately made me reflect on how many times I've stayed up until the midnight hour to complete a work assignment, but on the mornings where my alarm was set for 5am prayer time with the Lord, I snoozed more than once in the effort to get a little more sleep. God, I repent for every moment that I aborted being in Your presence just for an hour of sleep. The KJV says "poverty" will come in our laziness and listen... he who doesn't work cannot pay their bills. My mind also reflected in other areas after reading that the NLT says "scarcity" will come. Immediately I thought about a scarcity of the Lord's presence. A scarcity/poverty of hearing from Him. A scarcity/poverty of not having power to move in His will. The armed robber is one that says we have more time/tomorrow to get it done. Let us bind up that spirit of procrastination, laziness, and slumber, that will cause us to miss out on the things and greatness of God. Let us Lean Into God in this season.

God bless you all on this day.

I’m binding with you! Yes, the sheets feel so good at 5:00 in the morning. But God is merciful. Thanking Him for “Replay”.
