“Do not contrive or dig up or cultivate evil against your neighbor, who dwells trustingly and confidently beside you.”
— Proverbs 3:29 AMPC
I love how the amplified version gives you more. It does amplify the voice of God. Yesterday was the first time I went to work in our business center since March 2020 hoping I would be there alone. Not the way it was suppose to be. A young sister was doing a broadcast for her business. When she was done she says to me ”Hi, I know you. I voted for you.“. I had on a mask so it was surprised. She also stated how she knows my children who work at our grocery store, how she knows me from our National Night Out because we gave her socks and pajamas. This was two years ago. She’s my neighbor that I forgot about but God kept me on her mind. I didn’t know her name. It is these unseen folk that God uses to support you because they know your work.
I have to admit I was disappointed when I saw the setup because my hubby is working from home since March and it’s challenging for me. He makes a lot of noise.
We never know how people will respond to us and how they remember our interactions with them. I’m glad we were able to share the space and connect.
I can’t imagine making the effort and using energy to dig and stir up evil against folk that God is using me to support His work.
This scripture is so true because for the first time in my life, I don’t actually know my neighbors by name, but as a public servant I am known and expected to carry myself in a certain way.
God gives us favor with people that we don’t even know and are watching you and your family.
Im grateful for these kinds of neighbors that have your back. I know her name now and we’re going to connect for this community now.
