Who knew there is an address for hell? I didn’t. How powerful for Solomon to share the route for getting there. “Her house is the way to Sheol (Hades, the place of the dead), going down to the chambers of death.”

He is sharing with his son a personal experience. He doesn’t hold back on the details. He gives him the instruction to “keep” his commandment and pay attention to my warnings. If you don‘t, there are some tricks out there waiting for you that you cannot handle. It I s best that you avoid them all together because the entanglement will lead you to where you don’t want to go. Hell is a place of torment and does not yield life more abundantly.
When I look back over my life, how many times have I been enticed by the enemy and gotten into some predicaments that required a rescue because I thought I was grown. If only I just didn’t engage the enemy. God who is faithful provided a way of escape every time. The Holy Spirit will come for you, but you must choose His way.
God and life teaches us these same lessons and we need to pass them on to our children especially if it will lead to some hellish place. This proverb is rich and there are a lot of nuggets here.
I’m grateful for the focus in this book.
