Happy Monday, Day 36!!!
As I read Ecclesiastes 5, verse 13 stood out for me:
13 There is another serious problem I have seen under the sun. Hoarding riches harms the saver.14 Money is put into risky investments that turn sour, and everything is lost. In the end, there is nothing left to pass on to one’s children.15 We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
I used to be a licensed banker and recall many clients coming in daily to begin a new investment, amend their current one, or pull their money out because the market was in trouble. I think about the 2008 stock market crash and how sooooo many people loss their life savings, hopes for their ideal financial future, and what they would leave their children. Wise investments are a gift, but hoarding riches for the purpose of world domination can cause us to loose. As Solomon will conclude at the end of Ecclesiastes, we are to include God in ALL things or everything will be like chasing the wind.
Have a wonderful day, all!
Amen
