Good Morning Beloved!!
What a mighty God we serve! Today marks the 70th day of prayer. I believe that today marks a great turning point for any of us. Some may call it a "Quantum Leap". What is a Quantum Leap you may ask? It is when sudden and significant changes or increase, something sudden, spectacular and of great importance happens. In other words it can mean Advancement or "BREAKTHROUGH"
As we looked at the Prophet Elijah God gave him a word to speak to King Ahab.
"Later on, in the third year of the drought, the Lord said to Elijah, “Go and present yourself to King Ahab. Tell him that I will soon send rain! ”2 So Elijah went to appear before Ahab. " (1 Kings 18:1-2)
Here is where the Quantum Leap Happens:
"41 And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. 42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, 43 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. 44 And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not.
(1 Kings 41:44)
Prophet Elijah began to pray after recieving and delivering the word of the LORD to king Ahab. As Elijah got into position to pray, he sent his servant out to look for the evidence of what God said. Elijah teaches us the imortance of contending for the promises of God. Elijah was contending in prayer for the LORD to send rain. As his servant went out to look for rain he kept coming back with a negative report. Elijah persisted in prayer and during that time his servant went back and forth looking for a sign. Six times his servant kept looking for a sign, but on the seventh time there was a sudden change his servant finally saw visible evidence that something new on the horizon.
Beloved it wasn't so much about what Elijah's servant saw, but the fact that he never gave up. He kept going back until something happened.
Beloved don't just hear the sound of rain, but look for the manifestation!
The number 70 does bear some spiritual significance "Seventy is another combination of two of the perfect numbers, seven and ten. We have seen something of the significance of their sum under the number seventeen; their product is no less significant. As compared with the sum of two numbers, the product exhibits the significance of each in an intensified form. Hence 7 x 10 signifies perfect spiritual order carried out with all spiritual power and significance. Both spirit and order are greatly emphasised."
"God's dealings with His people have to do with actual duration of time rather than with specific dates; and we find that His dealings with Israel were measured out into four periods, each consisting of 490 (70 times 7) years. Thus:—
The 1st. From Abraham to the Exodus.
The 2nd. The Exodus to the Dedication of Temple.
The 3rd. From the Temple to Nehemiah's return.
The 4th. From Nehemiah to the Second Advent.
Number in Scripture: Its Supernatural Design and Spiritual Significance .
Join me for the next 30 days of prayer and fasting. I sense that major breakthroughs are on the horizon. Let us contend for the manifestation of the Promises of God.
I declare and decree I will see the Promises of God manifest in my life in Jesus name.
